'''こぐま座&eta;星'''（こぐまざイータせい、&eta; Ursae Minoris、&eta; UMi）は、[[こぐま座]]にある[[連星]]である。[[等級 (天文)|視等級]]は4.95で、[[肉眼]]でもみることができる明るさである{{R|esa97}}。[[年周視差]]に基づいて計算した[[太陽]]からの距離は、約96[[光年]]である{{R|simbad}}。

== 名称 ==
こぐま座&eta;星には、アンワル・アル・ファルカダイン（Anwar al Farkadain）という固有名もあるとされ、その名は[[アラビア語]]で「2頭の子牛のうち明るい方」を意味する"انور الفرقدين"（anwar al-farqadayn）に由来すると考えられる。「2頭の子牛のうち暗い方」のاخفي الفرقدينから来たアクファ・アル・ファルカダイン（Akhfa al Farkadain）は、[[こぐま座ゼータ星|こぐま座&zeta;星]]にあたる。しかし、実際には暗いのは、こぐま座&eta;星の方である。本来、"al-farqadān"という名前は、[[こぐま座ベータ星|こぐま座&beta;星]]と[[こぐま座ガンマ星|こぐま座&gamma;星]]からなる[[アステリズム]]に付けられていたもので、誤って伝わったものとみられる{{R|allen|jk|ks06}}。

こぐま座&eta;星から、南東におよそ3.8[[分 (角度)|分]]離れた位置にある15.3等の[[恒星]]'''LSPM J1618+7543'''は、こぐま座&eta;星と[[固有運動]]が共通で、太陽からの距離もほぼ一致しており、こぐま座&eta;星と[[連星]]を形成すると考えられる{{R|lb07|simbad_b}}。こぐま座&eta;星系の固有運動は大きく、1年あたり0.271[[秒 (角度)|秒]]という速さで[[天球]]上を移動している{{R|ls05}}。

こぐま座&eta;星の主星は、黄白色の[[F型主系列星]]で、[[スペクトル分類|スペクトル型はF5 V]]である{{R|esa97}}。年齢はおよそ13億年、[[質量]]は[[太陽質量|太陽]]の1.6倍程度で、[[自転]]速度は84.8km/s以上と見積もられる{{R|casagrande11|rs03}}。こぐま座&eta;星からは[[X線]]も検出されており、その[[光度 (天文学)|光度]]は11.5 {{e|28}} erg/sとなっている{{R|pms00}}。伴星は、スペクトル型がM4 Vの[[赤色矮星]]で、質量、[[半径]]共に太陽の2割程度の大きさ、自転速度は0.1km/sと見積もられている{{R|af15|newton16}}。
