== 概要 ==
こと座&eta;星は、[[二重星|三重星]]として知られ、最も明るくB型準巨星の4等星がA星、東に28[[秒 (角度)|秒]]ほど離れた位置にあるBD+38 3491がB星、更に南南東に160秒ほど離れた位置にある11等星がC星として、重星カタログに収録されている{{R|wds}}。これら3つの恒星は[[連星|連星系]]を成しておらず、見かけの重星だと考えられている{{R|pourbaix04}}。

主星の&eta;星Aは、分光連星であることが知られている{{R|al78}}。[[視線速度]]の時間変化から、[[公転]]の周期と[[離心率]]が求められているが、詳細についてはわかっていない。

[[アラビア語]]で「（鷲の）鉤爪」を意味する'''الأظفر'''（''al-’uz̧fur''）に由来する'''アラドファル{{R|Hara}}''' (Aladfar{{R|Kaler}}) という固有名を持つ。この名前は&mu;星の名前と混同されたものと考えられている{{R|Kaler|Allen}}。IAUが[[恒星]]の固有名を正式に定めるため[[2016年]]に立ち上げたワーキンググループ (WGSN) {{R|wgsn}}は、[[2017年]][[9月5日]]、こと座&eta;星Aの固有名を''Aladfar''と定めた{{R|iau_ns}}。
