やぎ座&theta;星は、[[A型主系列星]]で、[[スペクトル型]]はA1 Vと分類される{{R|bsc5}}。[[金属量]]は、太陽と比較して豊富だが、[[化学特異星|特異星]]ではなく通常のA型星の範疇とされる{{R|en03|llp95}}。[[質量]]や[[半径]]は、太陽の2倍を上回る程度で、[[光度 (天文学)|光度]]は[[太陽光度|太陽]]の47倍、表面の[[有効温度]]は9,600[[ケルビン|K]]程度と推定される{{R|jk|hhk17|en03}}。自転速度は120km/s以上とみられ、比較的高速である{{R|en03}}。
