'''へびつかい座TX星'''（へびつかいざTXせい、TX Ophiuchi、TX Oph）は、[[へびつかい座]]の方向に位置する[[脈動変光星]]である。

== 発見 ==
へびつかい座TX星は、[[ハーヴァード大学天文台]]の[[写真乾板]]の調査から、[[ヘンリエッタ・スワン・リービット|リーヴィット]]によって発見された{{R|pickering}}。その後、[[エルンスト・ツィナー|ツィナー]]によって確定した[[変光星]]となり、以後「へびつかい座TX星」と呼ばれることになった{{R|dhm}}。[[ボリス・ゲラシモヴィッチ|ゲラシモヴィッチ]]は、へびつかい座TX星の[[光度曲線|光度変化]]を詳しく調べ、その特徴が[[おうし座RV星]]と似ていることを明らかにした{{R|gerasimovic}}。

== 特徴 ==
へびつかい座TX星は、[[変光星総合カタログ]]ではRVAに分類される[[おうし座RV型変光星]]である{{R|gcvs}}。RVAは、おうし座RV型星の中でも、平均[[等級 (天文)|等級]]が変化しないものが分類される{{R|vartype|nhk}}。へびつかい座TX星は、約135[[日]]の周期で、9.7等から11.4等の間を増減光することが知られている{{R|gcvs}}。[[スペクトル型]]は変光に伴って変化するが、典型的にはG0とされる{{R|gezer15}}。近年になって、RVAと分類されているにもかかわらず、へびつかい座TX星に1万から1万2千日の周期で明るさが若干変化しているのがみつかっている{{R|bbh07}}。

へびつかい座TX星の[[金属量]]は、[[水素]]を基準とした相対的な[[鉄]]の量でみて、[[太陽]]と比較し-1.2 [[DEX|dex]]という金属欠乏星である。その金属量と、[[視線速度]]の大きさ、[[銀緯]]からへびつかい座TX星は、{{仮リンク|厚い銀河円盤|en|Thick disk}}に属する[[恒星]]と考えられる{{R|giridhar05}}。

へびつかい座TX星は、{{仮リンク|南アフリカ天文台|en|South African Astronomical Observatory}}における[[赤外線]][[測光 (天文)|測光観測]]から、[[赤外超過]]が検出され、[[温度]]970[[ケルビン|K]]、[[半径]]が恒星の13倍程度の[[星周塵]]の外層があるのではないかといわれたが、[[広域赤外線探査衛星]]による最近の観測では、赤外超過はないとされている{{R|goldsmith87|gezer15}}。
