ヘルマン・キンケリン

ヘルマン・キンケリン（テンプレート:Lang-en-short、テンプレート:Birth date – テンプレート:Death date）はスイスの数学者、政治家。

経歴

彼の家はボーデン湖近辺のリンダウより来ている。チューリッヒ大学で学んだ。1865年、バーゼル大学の数学教授に任命され、1908年の引退まで務めた。彼は数学教育の全責任を負っていた。 1867年、バーゼルに帰還した。彼は統計家として、1870年にバーゼルでスイス統計学会（the Swiss Statistical Society）とStatistical-economic societyを創設し、1880年にバーゼルでテンプレート:仮リンクを導いた。スイス統計学会では1877年-1886年の間会員であった。

キンケリンの作品はガンマ関数、無限級数、不等角投影図の空間幾何学などを扱っている。キンケリンは、保険数理と統計分野で60以上の出版物を公表した。 彼はバーゼルの "mortality and age checkout"（後には"Patria, Swiss life insurance company Mutual"）の創設者である。

キンケリンは1913年、バーゼルで死去した。
